Outdoor Education for Schools - field trips

We believe that any school subject can be taught in the ‘outdoor classroom.’ Challenge us to design an outdoor education package, incorporating key learning objectives, from any given subject from key stage 2 to 4 including A levels. Working closely with qualified teachers and our resident outdoor professionals we are confident that we can create a learning environment that your students will find inspiring, rewarding, informative and unforgettable.

We will work closely with you to create a package that suits your schools criteria and key learning goals. Bryn y mor has a good working knowledge of several examining bodies including OCR, EDEXCEL, WJEC and AQA and are familiar with changes to the National Curriculum. We work alongside teachers qualified in several subjects, including Geography, Biology, Combined Sciences and ICT, to provide technical support with the curriculum. Pre trip lesson material can be provided which can help to engage the pupils in the classroom even before they arrive in North Wales.

All of our regular activities are combined with field studies to give students a unique perspective on their subject. Studying whilst sat in a sea kayak, hanging off the end of a rope or scrambling along the cliffs will provide your students with a true taste of the ‘Outdoor Classroom.’ We can provide courses that push even the A* grade pupils, maintaining a high standard of academic riggor.

Apart from the classic field studies subjects, Geography, History and Science why not try taking other subject areas into the outdoor classroom, Art, Design and Technology, Music?
